Vizunah Square (Foreign Quarter) - Guild Wars Forums

Ive read that you can only get there by doing the 'Welcome to Cantha' Mission.
Does that mean only players who started in chapter 1 can get there or is it already open to people starting in Cantha? Thanks!

Prophecies characters must do the quests to follow Mhenlo to Cantha and then the "welcome to Cantha" to get to Vizunah Square. Canthan born characters get to the other half of the mission through the "local quarter" town. The two groups meet up during the mission. I don't think there is a way for a Canthan to do the foreign quarter, or for a Tyrian to do Local.... but as far as I can tell, that makes little difference, as the bulk of the mission is done cooperatively.

Interestingly, if you compare the maps of a local vs foreign character, there are two Vizunah Squares, with different entrances.

Exactly, Foreign one is north of local quarter.

That's the way it worked for me--Tyrian character got Foreign and Canthan character got Local, but I have to say that there have hardly been any locals lately. Last night our full group of Tyrians lost 3 times in a row, because the local team was all hench with one real person and Togo kept dying. I guess interest is waning in making new Canthan chars?

As a funny side note, when we finally got a group on the other side, they were Koreans. Didn't speak a word of English other than "hi" and "GG," which was nice, don't get me wrong, but very odd.

heh, same experience we had last night - minus the Koreans...
we finally after about 4 losses (3 with ALL henchies - by the way all henchies is better than 7 henchies and an assassin) got a team with 2 warriors and 6 henchies... we rushed (split) myself (MM) and one monk stayed with menhlo
the rest rushed to Togo. we made it, 3 of ours and one of theirs err7 out before end of mission but we completed at normal level.
