Lag issues - Guild Wars Forums

Hey guys, I'm new to this community, and I'm here to ask you guys a question.

Each time I change a village in Gw:factions, or play for like 1 Hour straight, I get this terrible lag that won't stop, whilst I seriously can't play with. Now, before this terrible lag, my Guild Wars Factions folder was about 1.68GIG, and after the lag, when I closed my game, it was 1.74GIG, does this mean the game is downloading updates for me, that make me lag, or does it have to do with my graphic card (Nvidia GeForce FX 5500 128MB) or with my 512MB RAM?
Or with my internet: 11,0 Mb/sec(wireless internet).

Could someone help me, I seriously can't play with this ammout of lag >.>;;
Edit: If the updates need to be downloaded manually, can somebody give me a link?

Hey there!

I've been experience serious lag issues since the release of Factions, so has my cousin (Livefire at this forum).

The question about you update thingy: Yepp, once you download or install via CD the game will update itself automatically from time to time (depending on if there is a new update .. obvious ;P)

I dont think there is anything wrong with either your connection or your computer.. I mean, my cousin has a Dualcore 3ghz , 2gb of ram and a geforce 6800 256mb , 100mbit connections.. And he's still having lag issues and serious FPS problems.

Like, when i travel to "House Zu Heltzer" , when the whole town is crowded .. I keep lagging/freezing and my character gets stucked sometimes, i bet the Arenanets servers are pretty overflowed since there been many new players when Factions got released!

And i dont think there is any site where you can download the updates manually, as the game do it automatically for you.

I know, i havent been much for a help but, i just wanted you to know that you arent alone when it comes to lag & fps drops.
