On what date will we be able to purchase character slots?
I know they said "summer" but that is very vague. I've collected materials and weapons for my waiting-in-GW-heaven-to-be-born ranger, but I'm just waiting to slap $10 in anet's grimey, cold hands so I can have my ranger. so... any ideas?
I'll cry and cry some more if they make us wait til Chapter 3 (which has no interest for me at this point) |

Me too, I have my upcoming assassin all set for runes and weapons, now all I need is a slot to make him.
Sometime in summer is vague. |

"Soon."
AKA "When it's done." I don't believe they have specified when it will be available more specifically than the "this summer" quote I seem to remember hearing, which could mean pretty much anytime between now and the offical calander first day of fall. I don't think it will take them more than another month, but I have no way of knowing of course. There could be a lot of issues to iron out regarding setting up the payment and keys and such with the publisher. I'm not in a hurry, but I would like to try a PvE assassin one of these days, and I'm not deleting any of my current characters to make one. |

I bet Anet has staff working on several projects so it might be better promise shady ETA and deliver slots in time, rather than give exact day and then change it every now and then.

I think this can go on the list along with the Auction House, Actual Guild Wide Storage, and some other thing I talked about once...

It means I'm Snickelfritz Outta Luck.... if you get my drift...
The bugs don't bug me <no pun intended> What pissed me off about the Factions fiasco was I preordered the Collector's edition and got lied to and the run around by anet and ncsoft. And finally, the "lovely" Gail herself emailed me and basically said nothing she can do and she's not even gonna try - so I'm SOL. |

... note: "Sure" is most commonly replaced with another word that begins with S, and rhymes with "fit". Which, if you still are unsure what i'm talking about: just be content in not knowing at that point EDIT: Aw, beat to it |

*cue rant* After getting the run around from several employees, I finally got forwarded to a manager. Gaile happened to be that manager. What happened is I pre-ordered the CE, when I found out it was being delayed, I was concerned about my headstart characters. I emailed NC Soft and the rep told me the only way to keep my characters would be to buy the regular edition. That all accounts without the retail key would lose their Headstart characters on May 1st. So I ran to the store and picked up a copy of regular Factions. I get home, and find out that Anet has changed their mind. Well, now I'm stuck with a version of Factions I didn't want, and there is jack I can do about it. I email NC Soft again, and they apologised and offered to have management contact me to see if there was anything they could do. Gaile gave me this sob story about how she can't even play CE, and it's not her fault I was misinformed, and there is nothing she can do except let to try to prevent future incidents. All I wanted was the ability to send $20 to NC Soft/Anet, get my updated key, book, CD, etc, and dragon. But No. (and I have all this saved in my email inbox, so hopefully I'll get in touch with someone who CAN help, and get this overwith.) *end rant* |
