Shiro's Blades
Does anyone know why they decided to make shiros blades have 15 require so that only an assasin could use them we all know Shiro is mainly a warrior

Why would they make a set of assassin-based weapons, that only assassins can effectively used...
As with how many licks to get to the center of a tootsie pop, the world may never know. |

I think perhaps Shiro was a W/A or a A/W so it makes sense to me.
You can either get Shiro's Daggers, or Shiro's Sword by trading the item you recieve from Sunn. Why they are both 15 req i don't know...maybe to show how awesome Shiro is to beat you with the worst weapons in the game..? :P Last edited by Sakashi; May 24, 2006 at 06:11 AM // 06:11.. |

Shiro has no set class (ie: has the blessing of no god to grant him the powers of a profession). He simply dual-wields swords, although most likely developed as a warrior (don't try to cite his double-strikes, 100blades did that too). The dual swords are assassin req because that's the only playable class that can dual-wield blades. The single sword is still a warrior weapon because that's the only class that has skills for a single blade. The weapon req has nothing to do with Shiro's class, but what kind of player could wield them.

I think he means the high req. After all, if you want a 3/1 vampric 15^50 you can get either victo's blade or that other SF sword with req 9.

15/16 attribute for your main weapon is not at all unusal for PvP players and I've seen a few PvE players who preferred that kind of 'extreme' investment as well. |

Okay here's my reasoning that shiro is a W/a and no i'm not basing it on his skills just the way he fights also what the question was asking.
1. If you make W/A character and go through the lead offhand dual and use nine tails its the same animation that shiro uses when he fights and during the cutscene for the temple mission to save Vizu or what ever her name is. Also in every cutscene he walks or runs exactly like a warrior holding daggers. 2. The assasin weapon for an assasin comment is just you people being ignorant to the question. Why did they make a weapon that no other class can wield all the other green items have a require of 9 which means they can be wielded by any character with the attribute of 9. Shiros blades on the other hand are a require of 15 which requires one to have a sup or major rune of dagger mastery with a dagger +1 mask which makes the weapon only useful to an assasin when every other green item you can get with the amulet of the mists can be used by any class due to the 9 require. That was the true question i had been trying to ask. Last edited by Zero7511; May 25, 2006 at 03:58 AM // 03:58.. |

Now, if you want an answer to "Why did they make a primary-specific weapon" you'll have to put a few more quarters into the sarcasm translator. Some answers to questions don't need to be deep and profound... |

If they wanted it assassin only, they could have just made them req 13. Same with the sword.
On a useless note, I like having 14-15 in swordsmanship for my warrior. Makes my sword attacks hurt. |
