I don't see why you should start your character in chap1. Cantha characters level up rather quick and you can get the same skills as in chap1 as well. It's new and more fun to start in Cantha.

I prefer the Tyrian look over the Canthan asian look.
But thats just me i suppose. Just go for which you prefer, dont let people choose for you |

It's really much quicker to get started in Cantha on the lil island. I got to level 20 in I think it was 6-8 hours. Jst did every quest with henchies. Then get to the center and talk to the guy get Trouble in Tyria quest and get your butt over there and pick up the good stuff....The monsters in Tyria are much easier to deal with at 20...in Cantha their still hard...

Well, in Cantha you are basically given everything on a plate from the word go and rushed to level 20 very quickly. Unfortunately apart from the basic skills you get all skills after that have to be bought.
In Tyria progression is slower but more varied. Tyria also has skill quests. And I believe also some Asian faces are selectable from character creation. I'd try both if I were you. Personally I don't like the 'rush, rush, rush' philosophy of Factions. |
