Naphui Quarter question
ok in Naphui quarter missions (the one where you have to beat the four celstial bodies) after you kill one it's essences split out, do you then have to defeat all of the essences? because it wont let me go back through the orb after killing just the boss.

You don't go back through the orb in that level, you stay in the area. All the bosses are in one area, all the orb does is just start you in different places.
Also, no you don't have to beat all of the new smaller versions, only the bosses. But, those smaller ones do have a bad habbit of killing you while you try to beat the bosses. |

My strat to beat Nahpui with a level 14 rit and henchies: Shelter, Union and any other useful protective skills you have available. Start at the mesmer portal. (Far right for those unaware.) Kill all the tengu birdies and leave the bosses alone until you get to the monk boss. Kill the tengu birdies, monk boss, monk babies. Make a 180 and retrace killing boss babies and bosses until you are back at the messie. Kill just the messie boss now. Gfg!

This is my favourite mission so far as a warrior, although I'm now somewhat tired of PUG's with it.
I stress importantly to all monk professions Hex removal and conditions. I died a sorry death on my last pug there . Warr monk have your purge with you weakness is a sorry warrior. All missions are worth attempting with henchies, give yourself a chance to experience the content, while developing your own strat as to how to complete it.Sure your gonna die but failed mission means back to town sell greys salvage and take another crack at it . When you get with a PUG you'll have some notes or ideas of what to expect. Goodluck ! :edit train of thought Last edited by Aisius; Jun 06, 2006 at 01:53 AM // 01:53.. |

I have found that saving the Dragon/Ele boss for last is the best option. He uses Air magic and when you're fighting groups of mini-versions of the Dragon all spiking you, you die quick. You can usually take out the Monk or Necro first, since they're not that big of a deal (monk is smiting, not healing, so don't worry bout that), the Mesmer isn't too much of a problem, I just hate degen so I tend to take it out second-to-last.

It depends on if you just want to beat it, or want a good time.
For me I just wanted to beat it. I'm a minion master playing with henchies. I took guildwiki's advice - I cleared all the tengu's first and then killed the bosses. I started at the healer (far left orb entrance) and moved clockwise until the pheonix. Kill it and then work back through the bosses - the essences are *really* easy to beat without the Tengu. The pheonix/mesmer was the only one that did much damage at all, the turtles I could have ignored. Just beware, if you are a necro that needs corpses the turtle necro casts wells like crazy - no corpses for you as the computer has insane quick reflexes. I suppose that his essence does too - I had cleared all the tengu first. I rather suspect that the turtles would have been heck with enough different wells. I would kill it last if I were a corpse using necro. |
