Can't seem to find the right build
I've been playing GW:Prophecies for 1 week now, and i tried several builds:
R/E , Mo/Me, W/Mo, E/Mo and W/N none of these are really appealing to me, so im looking for a build that has some diversity, that can heal myself, and a build thats just good.. and preferably not mainstream. i was thinking of N/Mo.. but i'll wait what you guys can give me for advice.. thanks! |

N/E or N/Me, there is no real need for having Mo secondary since you can just suck the life out of someone else or eat a corpse/minion.
But in all honesty, playing 4 different classes in a week and for only a week will not give you much of a taste for what they have to offer. You should also consider how hard it will be to get into a group and how that might affect your gameplay. If you stuck with monk you'll be able to find a group easily, but people would probably expect you to either be a heal or prot, but it doesn't seem like you're interested in that. And if you end up finding necro to be boring the only thing left is mesmer, which aren't usually at the top of people's lists to pick for a pug. And remember there are a lot of inventive and interesting things that you can do. It's just a matter of playing a character long enough to develop it and get a feel for how you like to play. Then going out and trying to craft your character into the playing style that you like. But, you'll never get there if you're constantly make and delete characters right off the bat. |

you are soo right about that, it is just a nasty habit of mine to pick everything without developing it much..
perhaps i should just stick with something, and if i should do that, what build would you advice me? |

You're thinking N/Mo ? Then go with it. Its going to sound like nobody is giving you a definite answer, but there is no definite answer to your question. Just start with one profession and play it through. No matter what you take, you won't regret it (at least not immediately after you finish the campaign :P).

duno whats wrong with w/mo, theres some decent solo builds all over the tyrian explorers league section and the farming one. w/x is the best farming prof in the game

So even if you do end up with something you don't like you can easily change the style of your character into something you do like without having to start all over again. I reccomend Ranger as a first class, in my opinion it's the most fun and diverse. It's very indepenant to so doesn't require you to be learning 2 classes at once. As a Ranger you will play as the ultimate condition master, constantly bombarding foes with poison, bleeding, cripples, blind aswell as some fire conditions. Aswell as that you also have access to laying traps for unsuspecting enemies... Ultimate stealth! You also have Access to pets and interupt skills to prevent your foe attacking. Not to mention you get some of the coolest looking armour and weapons in the game. As i said Ranger can be played independantly without an other class and remains just as effective. Monk is a populer secondry for a Ranger purely because for unlimited res ability. Also guys... C'mon hes been playing a week! He will know nothing of the game and you're telling him about solo builds. Thats for after he knows the in outs of the game. Last edited by Nestaron; Jun 06, 2006 at 02:08 PM // 14:08.. |
