Gold Celestial Shield??? - Guild Wars Forums

Hi,

I finally got a celestial drop:

Gold Celestial Shield: armor +16, req. 11 tactics (1 MOD)
-reduces weakness by 20%

Questions:

Are all celestial drops gold? I can't think of any other reason why this item is gold. I got a Purple Spiked Targe (armor +16, req.8) on the same run but there were 2-MODs and much better in my opinion than the Celestial Shield:

Purple Spiked Targe (armor +16, req.8)
Armor +9 vs. Cold damage.
Health +47 while hexed.

A great shield against a Necro or Messmer

Why is this Purple and the other Gold?

because the mods are totally random? it could have been the other way around as well, that the celestial shield has good mods and the other crappy ones. its all random.

about celestial stuff always being gold; i dont know, but i havnt seen a non-gold one

I've only seen gold Celestial drops as well - and it seems exceptionally hard to get a GOOD celestial drop.

i've gotten a few celestials, their always gold. Also yes it is true it is hard to get good mods on one, i've gotten some with good mods, but not max damage. Like i say, their like monks, a bitch to find
