the latest update included updates to several ypes of armor (mostly prophs armour) - do these look any different? what exactly has th eupdate done? and can anyone post pics of the new armour

With the release of Factions, some tweaks had been made to the armor ratings of certain armor types. Up until this update, the armor that PvE characters had crafted was not updated, so the stats of the armor were inferior to the new armor.

Basically, if you had any old armor, it will be just as good as the new armor now.

no, what i meant was - in the latest UPDATE, not game, they said they upgraded a number of the sets of armour but that it would only affect NEWLY crafted armour, not the stuff already in your inventory. have they just changed the looks?

What they did, was they changed the stuff already in your inventory to be just as good as newly crafted stuff.

Reread the update notes. They definitely did not change the look of any of the armor. In Factions, stats and look are independent now anyways.
