Why were Signatures "disabled"? Just curious

Because this forum has a heck of a hard time keeping up with just the typical user load, without stressing it out even further by adding in 25000 unique signatures being loaded with every post read.

That's my best guess, based on my personal experience with 2 minute post load times, white screen of DataBase errors, etc

Well I tried adding site feedback, giving them rating 7/10, because search is normally down, but google normally works, and sigs never on. But it never came through for some reason. And I told em a way to improve, you buy a new server motherboard, that has 6+ DIMM slots, and 6+ processor slots, and can have 360GB storage. With those DIMM slots you add 2GB to each, so you get 12GB RAM+, and processor you add 3GHz to each so you get 18GHz+, and with 360GB storage, that should last you for a long time, there are a couple of ones like this and better on www.newegg.com. But would cost them over 2K US dollars, but would drastically help.

I think if they bought that kind of motherboard, they would then allow signatures, unless they dont allow them, because people find some offensive.

Mainly, because no one wants to see you 1337 specs. and no one wants to see some by the book photoshopped image with your name glazed across it.
Nor links to seven pictures of every character you have.
