Secondary Proffesion quest trouble - Guild Wars Forums

I jusr recently purchased Guild wArs and have been having fun with the PvP. I decided to make a PvE character to access all the great skills and gear that come with the time it takes to level. I am at the point where I must choose a secondary prof.

The problem I am having is the quests seem to not be working. First I tried to be a monk secondary. When I was on the quest "Track Down Brother Pe Wan" I went to the location of the star on the map and there was no NPC there by that name. It was not a star to denote that I needed to zone either.

I then abandoned that quest and tried to become a Necromancer as a secondary. This time I'm on the quest "Little Creatures". After I kill all the small mantids there is no queen to be found. I have run all over the temple and cannot find a queen or any other mantid left alive.

This is really starting to frustrate me as I cannot progress in the game until I pick a secondary prof. If I cannot even finish the small subquest I can't continue on with the primary mission.

Has anyone else had similar problems? Please help.

the first star on the find him quest is merely the zone point to where he is. (kinya provence?) whichever

if you zoned and lost the new arrow/star simply click on any other quest then back to the one you need

Also keep in mind that to find brother Pe wan for the monk 2nd quest you'll need to abandon any festival quests you have.
I quested with a friend who had the same problem , she just abandoned the festival stuff from shieng jei monastry then we were able to find her precious npc.
Sorry but I don't have any suggestions to the necromancer quest problems you've experienced.

I'm aware that the star does tell you to zone at first. It was not the zoning star. I didnt not have any festival quests either. I am really at a loss here.

The main reason I thought that your particular glitch with finding brother pen wan was to do with the festival quests is that in the Canthan Explorers League area of guru forums there's at least three threads with this same problem.

The fix for those cases was to make sure to not have any ORB quests in your logs by abandoning them and in particular "Yeti's on the Rampage". I'd suggest not grouping with other players that may be on those quests also.

If as you've said you don't have the orbs quests and he's still not appearing then unfortunatly I'm at a loss to a fix for this also

Thanks for the help. I think I may have had that Yeti quest at the time. I have now cleared out my entire quest log except for that one quest. I will try again today. Thanks again for the input.
