How do I merge guild wars and guild wars factions?I heard you have to do a quest in lions arch if so which quest?

if you added the key to the existing game instead of creating a separate account and have 6 characters at your login screen do the following.

go to the skill trainer in lions and get the menlo quest (menlo is right outside the lions gate).

get his quest chaos in cantha and book passage to cantha and you are there

To get your Tyrian characters to Cantha, obtain the 'Mhenlo's Request' quest from Firstwatch Sergio in Lion's Arch:

To do it the other way round and get your Canthan characters to Tyria, obtain the 'Chaos in Kryta' mission from Guardsman Chienpo in Kaineng Centre:
