Vizunah Square Mission (Tyrian Side)
I was running this with my warrior and a group of henchies. I was still in the first part of the mission before I met up with the other team.
The other team expressed their doubt that this could be done. They said Mehnlo is going to die. No sooner had I assured them that I had done it without undue problem three times before with my mesmer, monk and ranger when all of a sudden I realized that while I was talking to them all of my henchmen had run off except one. There I was with Mehnlo, one henchie, myself and a whole troop of Am Fah. They were way ahead of me and sure enough Mehnlo died before I got them all killed. Has anyone else experienced this? I've never had it happen before. All of the other henchmen ran on ahead of of us in the general direction of the other team which was still far far away. I could see their little dots of my henchies on the map stuck at a turn. Boy did I feel foolish. Last edited by grikdog; Jul 08, 2006 at 01:27 AM // 01:27.. |

This happens whenever the other side has more humans than the one you're on. Viz square is much safer in the middle of the night in the deserted international district for this reason. If you get a 100% henchie team as your ally, you'll find that your own henchies won't suddenly run away in that first phase.

If you don't want to wait til the middle of the night, just get in a group of real people. This mission isn't so hard that you need to have lots of planning ahead of time. Even if only half the team follows called targets, you can still beat this mission with ease.

As you were typing your henchmen were following your other team's attacks. It seems in this mission your henchies will follow your attacks first, but will also follow your allied team's attacks.
I had no problem henching this mission with my ranger because my henchmen stayed close as a result of following my targets. When I did it with my ritualist it was a different story. I was laying spirits without targeting the enemies. My henchmen all ran off to my allied team's targets and left me stranded. I promptly switched to a more offensive build and breezed through the mission. |

well, i think the "bug" where mhenlo got stuck after/before the cinema is gone, if you have "doubts "about" the togo??s team, you can have 1 or 2 players run towards togo to help them, running after you defeat the second am fah group.
each time i have played on the canthan side, i have always find relieving when i see the tyrian people reaching us as the plagued creatures start overwhelming me and the henchies. i have yet to have a full henchie team on mhenlo??s side |

OMG, this happened to me as well. Everything was fine at first, then I look away for about 10 seconds, look back up and all my henchies were gone. Somehow, I still managed to save the day, though. I was using my Necro wells build (well of blood just rocks on this mission). Somehow me, Mehnlo, and one henchie (don't remeber which one) managed to kill two groups of Am Fah on our own.
The best part, the other side was ranting about how stupid I was for bringing just henchies, but I still made it, and they actually had a few deaths before we met up in the center (then proceeded to die many times throughout the mission). I think the only reason we won was because of the two MM's they had and my wells. Good stuff. |

The absolute worst thing you can do is rush to help the Canthans. That is where 99% of all groups get screwed up. If you take your time fighting the Am Fah and even slow down you will be better off. Every time I have done this the henchies have always took care of business on the other end. As long as you arent close enough for the other henchies to rush to you then you should be fine. I usually just wait where the last group of Am Fah pop up until the henchies have killed the bad guys.

I think it's a little more complex than just following attacks. If this was the case, when you enter and the opposite team is all henchies, shouldn't they leave their posts and come to you? I can tell you that many times we've looked down from that spot on the trail to find a full henchie time battling away and when we arrive they've cleared the square already. I do know that when you have an odd number of people in a party and split it, the henchies will tend to stay with the group that has the largest number of humans. However, if the lesser number is running about while the larger number is standing still, then they tend to go to the moving party. All of these factors come into play with Vizunah Square and somewhat with Unwaking Waters and they are good things to keep in mind. |

I was lying dead in the square in the beginning of the mission once waiting on a rez from my henchies. They were battling away, somewhat protecting Mhenlo until the other team showed up on my radar. That's when the henchies hauled ass to help the other team and left Mhenlo and me for dead. |

Bah, only time I ever beat Vizunah was the time the Tyrian party was an MM with seven henchies... |
