For many fantasy or sci-fi books that never state the continent or planets name the fans name the place after one of the well known characters in the story (such as in the wheel of time they call it "randland").
So, how about Rurikania It always irritates me when stories don't ever include the name of the world just once. All it takes is one single flipping line of dialog. At one time I thought the whole world was called Tyria - the way it was used in prohecies seems to be so, though it could also have just referred to the continent. Given how Anet says "tyrian based" and "canthan based" I now go with the continent idea, no idea the name of the world. I rather assumed I was just dense and others knew it, good to know I'm not too dense. |

Yeah Ty for the answer... but its still silly i say...
They should bring it up in game, as perhaps some way of includeing a story line in a new chapter or perhaps back in tyria... as Tyria is now getting stale be awesome to get some sort of insight into the world by nameing it something else and perhaps bringing back some all powerful evil that would lead from proph into factions... then the beginning of chapter 3. be fantastic!!! and in the end it gives you a insight into the lore of the planet far before the current lore is dated. i think this would be a great move by ANET would keep people involved in ALL Chapters encourage people to buy them ALL, and would be great to have something like that it would show great creativity on there part. and encourage players to be mroe intrested in the lore and the story... because currently theres a small lack of enthusiasum from alot of the GW world! |

I think I know the answer But I have been playing for over a year, TYRIA is a contnient same with Cantha and Elona, (Elonia is where we all started from the humans anyway). AND THE answer is Orr its has been metion by the NPC's of the game. Since They Know more about the world than us I guess they would be right. ORR is the name of the planet.
