Damage Mods
Heh, played the game for 14 months, I should know the answer to this, but I don't. Recently, I got a 14^50 sword, req 10, and it was purple. My brother got a 14^50 Hornbow, req11 and was purple, and a guildie got a 14^50 weapon, also purple. Now, to my understanding, the items went like this:
10^50 - 12^50 = Blue 12^50 - 13^50 = Purple 13^50 - 15^50 = Gold Now, I've seen golds with 13^50, and Purples with 12^50 and such, but I didn't think it was possible to get 14^50's and purple. Is this a new Factions-related deal, or has it been around for a while. Was wondering, because I had never seen a purple 14^50 up until about a month ago (and being a trader/price checker, you'd think I would have :S) |

I believe that was updated around the time of the Factions release. The idea was to make the drops better on the whole, and more comparable to the type of drop that it was.

"Significantly improved the quality of rare (gold) and uncommon (purple) items." When Factions launched they changed the stat ranges that the different colors can have. I'm not sure on the ranges for everything, but I know the damage mods for blues can be 10%-12%, purples can be 13%-14%, and golds can be 14%-15%. |
