Well there's a nice collector staff you can get, req9 Divine Favor with 20/20 on Healing outside Port Sledge for 5 Grawl Necklaces. I'm not too familiar with greens, but I'll bet there is a nice Healing staff with those as well.
(GREEN ITEM LISTINGS for MONK) There really is no "best" monk item, it all depends on your build, and what you need. Last edited by Rahl; Jul 27, 2006 at 04:20 AM // 04:20.. |

if u're playing healer monk only u can get 2 collectors staves and mod them for diff situations - f/ex +5e +5 armor and +30hp +30hp for the time when u got DP. on the other hand if u're playing boon protector ur best choice would be +5 armor +45hp when enchanted offhand from collector or crafter and +5e sword/axe with +30hp or +5 armor mod - with acolyte armor (+10armor when enchanted) u'll have 75-80 armor, its not that bad for a squishy...
personally i'm not using staves, diff offhands and +5e sword >>>> any staff in 95% situation... now +5e swords arent that expencive as they used to be - u can buy 1 from crafter for 10k, and u can buy gold sword/axe (alrdy with mods) on auctions for 10-15k if u dont care for fancy skins... |

For healing I use the Port Sledge collector staff with +5 energy and 20% +1 to healing. For prot I use Kekphets, before that I used the HoD sword of enchanting with Wroth's Icon.

As long as you're not using staves, you should be fine. Any Rod/Wand/Weapon+Focus combo can beat out any staff combo. :\

playing boon prot youll want 4 different weapon choices and yes it can be expensive. these are your best bet. 1. - +5 energy sword or axe with +30 hp and a shield with armor lvl 16, dmg -2 enchanted, health +30 always (greens can now be used) or u can sub shield out for offhand 2. - +5energy>50 and 10% all skills recharge wand with 20% recharge, hp+30 offhand for your energymanagement secondary ie. mes or even nec. (should be your main weapon slot) 3. - -5 energy sword with hp+30 and a -5 energy cities of ascalon scroll (hard to find anymore, but worth it if u find one 4. - +15/-1 regen wand and +45/-1, hp+30 offhand youll only want the chest and legs in the ar+10 while enchanted armor. then youll want to have astetics for hands and feet. also have 2 headpieces. Use a divine headpiece with a sup rune of divine for casting boon when applicable (not suggested in mid fight) and then swap it too a divine headpiece with a minor rune in it as too not have the -health from the sup. recast in emergency with minor if boon gets shattered. |

I have a Cities of Ascalon scroll, if youd like to buy one. Also, about the +45/-1, hp+30 offhand. Is that a typo, or a Factions thing, because the best Ive seenis a +8 +15 energy +30hp, -1 regen. Love to know where to get one of those +45s!
