Does anyone know what minipets there are, and how you get them?

They are inventory items. When activated they appear as miniature monsters/NPCs that follow you around. They do not attack or take damage like normal pets and cannot be selected.

When a character reaches 12 months of age, a blue "birthday present" appears in their inventory, when opened the character is presented with a random mini pet.

They're useless really, just trinkets.

They are gifts that you get after your charachter is one year old or as a bonus for buying a collectors edition. You can buy and sell them with other players. Basically a vanity item, they serve no purpose except to make noise and scamper around ingame.
