Cutscenes
I recently heard about a program called Myvid for using on internet streaming videos to allow you to record them, and I know a lot of people want to be able to 'unlock' cutscenes for later playback.(you can see where this is going)
So does anybody know if Myvid works in game on cutscenes? And will Anet be ticked off if we do it? I need to go reread the user agreement and check out what myvid can do, but I figured I'd ask in case anybody knew off the top of their head. /edit I just did a search and it seems a similar idea has come up before, but I'd still like to know if this is legal or viable, as neither of those questions were answered in the threads I saw. Recording cutscenes would fall under what the EULA has stated, give a gander at that...
Mostly, I'd think it would be the same as if someone typed a description of the scenes or like the vids of people doing various stuff like farming. They (anet) wouldn't have a problem unless people were charging and it was clear who the content owner is. If you want to be sure contact them and ask. |
