Trouble capturing Elder pet
I go alone, unarmed, and as soon as a I see and elder animal, and get near (no where near agro circle) it turns red. If I stay way back and mouse over it, WITHOUT clicking, it turns red. Where they nerfed and now we cannot cap them? I'm looking for an Elder white tiger, tried outside jade flats for hours.

One of the monsters charmed it before you could, I think.

That happens a lot with the ranger yeti outside of the Boreas Seabed. If you can find out which monster charmed the animal and kill that monster, that releases the pet and you can capture the pet again.
If this is what is happening. Last edited by Markaedw; Aug 17, 2006 at 09:34 PM // 21:34.. Reason: for clarity |

I take my war/Ranger it happens every time so far. If I take my ranger/mes (with pet) it happens but not the mouse over bit.
I think it's a bug, or silent nerf. God forbid we find a way to enjoy the game without sweating bullets.. LOL |

why not just train the pet to elder from lvl 5?
or just kill the master and not the pet like the above poster said... |

Killed master and group,(outside Jade Flats),stood and waited half an hour. Pet walked around and stayed a pet. Did not revert back to wild. I doubted it would work, since our own pets do not wander off when we die. Same system must be governing the npc's also.

Update: Well fair is fair, I did not get a tiger white or otherwise, but I did (outta dumb luck) get a lvl 20 black moa bird!!! I saw it as green outside House Zu Heltzer. Clicked charm and figured "no way in hell I'll get it" and damned if I didn't!

I got a dire tiger from the yeti outside Boreas Seabed with the help of some guildies.
Yesterday I was just walking with henchies in the same place and after we killed all the yetis there was an elder crane still green ........ Just because I did not wish to get it anymore! What I mean is that if I was trying to get the crane it would be almost impossible! Believe you me I tried so many times! |

Enchanted Warrior, drop your Black Moa. Apparently you've never seen this thread.
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s....php?t=3039140 Or what I did to get my Dire White Tiger was this: Found a lvl 5 Tiger and attacked it once and had it repeatedly kill me. I don't know if this will won't now with the recent updates. |

Beats me why people feel they have to give someone a hard time when they post. Guess kids are bored these days.
