Ok I'm new at this game and I'm confused about something
I own both Prophecies and Factions, but since playing I have concentrated on Factions. The question I have is when the heck do you pick a faction and how do you do it? I haven't seen where or how. I just finished the mission that requires you to go into the cathedral and get the urn. I have run across different NPCs that tell me I must choose a faction to use them (ex. such as a merchant). Can someone give me a fairly detailed description on where you go and/or what needs to be done in order to pick a faction? I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks |

You never permanently pick a faction. But I suppose you "pick" a side when you get the befriending quests. Head over to House Zu Heltzer or Cavalon.

You do kinda get a faction from your guild, but if you're a Kurzick aligned guild and you have more Luxon faction then Kurzick; the Luxon's will do business with you and Kurzicks wont talk to you.

Keep going....you'll get there.
Basically you have to run missions on both the Kurzik and Luxon sides (K then L)...You will have have two quests on your way to collecting artifacts and allies to defeat Shiro. "Befriending the Kurziks" and "Befriending the Luxons" you will have opportunities to gain faction for either side and cash it in for cash and prizes (basically Jade and Amber)...If you want to be affiliated with either side, gain more faction for them when entering an outpost in their territory....This work weither you are in an affiliated guild or not. That's pretty much it as I understand it, though, I'm sure you could find a much deeper, more comprehensive answer in guildwiki. GLHF |

ok I just saw...
Ok I see I have 500 faction with the Kurzick. Where do I spend it on things? I'm assuming armor is one of the things you can get. I see people with awesome armor on, but can't find where they get it. Is there a certain town where you spend the faction points?

You spend Kurzick faction in House Zu Heltzer but you can only spend it in incriments of 1k. 1k gets you a chunk of amber.

I see the House of Zu signpost but
How do you actually get into it? I am by a post that says House of Zu and there is a tree like guardian there, but I don't see how to get there. Also where does the armor all come from that I see people wearing?

Have to do the Arborstone mission I think, been a while since I had a new character go through. The piece of crap armor is in House Zu Heltzer; the good armor is in the Vasburg Armory after the Eternal Grove mission.
Actually I think you have to head over to Boreas Seabed and a few primary quests before you can get into House Zu Heltzer. |

Check www.guildwiki.org for the path through the game. It is kind of tricky right before House zu Heltzer.
If you are a guild leader, you can select Kurzick or Luxon. Any faction points earned and donated at the guild hall will go toward the selected faction. You can earn faction for either side by doing quests. |

One thing, while doing the story-line, follow either the Kurzick or the Luxon side of it before doing the other one. Because when you spend faction from one side, you lose up to an equal amount from the other side.
