Is it possible to ferry to HZH from Alterun Ruins?
I dont want to do the annoying quests so I was wondering if it is possible to be ferried to HZH by speaking to that green guardian that stands there at the gate.

The "green guy" lets you into HzH only after you complete the Befriending the Kurzicks quest. You need 10k Kurzick faction to complete that quest. How you get the 10k faction is up to you.

The answer is no, you have to do Alturumn Ruins, then Boreas Seabed, then the 2 sewer quests, then sunjiang district mission. Then you have to get a quest to get into HzH and Cavalon from Maatu Keep. That is the only way to get into HzH and Cavalon. BTW, you don't need 10k faction to get into HzH, nor do you need 10k Luxon faction to get into Cavalon.

Both of the above posters are wrong. First, you do not need to complete the Befriending the Luxons / Kurzicks quest to enter Cavalon or HzH. The mere fact that those quests are obtained from within Cavalon and HzH should make that completely obvious.
Second, you do not need to talk to the NPC to get into HzH or Cavalon. Also, the post above me does correctly point out that you have to follow the storyline through the Sunjiang District mission to gain access through the NPC, however, the NPC is not the only way in. Simply enter the explorable area and make your way around to an outside gate to either HzH or Cavalon. The gates are open and you can run right in. Therefore, you really only need to complete Arborstone to get to HzH and Boreas Seabed to get to Cavalon. However, you will not be able to get many quests until you catch up in the storyline. However, you will be able to talk to the NPC's and faction farm if that is your cup of tea. |

He is, however, correct about not needing 10k faction to get into the capital city. The faction is only needed to continue the story line, which means to get to EG. |

You do not need 10K faction to get to House Zu Heltzer. 10K Faction is needed after you get to the house. You must do the following which is off of Wiki
Echovald Forest / Kurzick Area 6. Arborstone → Primary quests The Convocation takes you to Boreas Seabed. [edit] Jade Sea / Luxon Area 7. Boreas Seabed → Do City Under Attack which leads to Raisu Pavilion, there take and complete Battle in the Sewers which leads to Sunjiang District. [edit] Kaineng City 8. Sunjiang District Note: After completing Sunjiang District you need to travel to Cavalon as a Luxon, or to House zu Heltzer as a Kurzick, and complete the missions in the corresponding area. To get to either, you must get the quest from Jamei in Maatu Keep. The two paths meet again in Kaineng City for the Raisu Palace mission. [edit] Echovald Forest / Kurzick Area → The primary quest Journey to House zu Heltzer takes you to House zu Heltzer, the Kurzick capital. Here, after Befriending the Kurzicks (collecting 10,000 Kurzick Faction), gather The Defenders of the Forest, which will eventually take you to The Eternal Grove. |

I don't think the back gate route works for HzH though but only because you can't actually get to it. HzH has 2 entrances - the entrance from Altrumm Ruins (by following the primary quest) and Ferndale. And there is no entrance to Ferndale from any of the previous instances. Oh geez, I was just about to ask if there was a run-around to get to HzH... *sigh*. I once tried to look to see if the maps of Ferndale and Arborstone joined together.... sadly...
At least you can skip the Arborstone mission and go straight to Altrumn Ruins by a necro's traversal teleports ^^ |
