BiP Question
I haven't had time to test it, so I'd firgure I'd ask here. We all know that Blood is Power requires a 33% health sacrifice, so my question is; will Protective Spirit negate the health loss caused by BiP? I know Protective Spirit prevents damage loss, but does the 33% sacrifice count as damage? I know since 33% translates to 1/3, if a Necro had 300 health (Easy to work with figure) they would take 100 damage. But if they had Protective Spirit on them, would it reduce down to only 30 damage, thus making BiP easily spammable?

No, PS doesn't reduce health sacs but a way to make BiP easily spammable is to play a 55 build but it's risky.

No it doesnt protective spirit doesnt help against health steal ( by skills like vamp bite) or by sacrifice.Only against real damage, i think even self inflicted damage doesnt get reduced by this, things like retribution or SS.

Alright, thanks. I had a feeling it wouldn't protect against the sacrifice. It'd be nice if it did, though it would be a bit over-powered.

The only thing that would protect against it is order of the lich, but since both are elites, have fun

BiPers have low health, so Healing and Regen is better.
In some areas the BiPer can be a 55 - Making just mending or something keep up with the sac. In areas where they could potentially take dmg, try to have 200-300 hp so you can tank a few hits, but only require a small heal to get back your health, usually your own heals will be enough. In the Deep, the heal party the monks spam is enough. |

I usually run about 300hp and use blood renewal.
At 16 blood regen is +6 and health gain is 200. This takes a bit of pressure off of the monks and coupled with mending, gives a +9 health regen, which should be more than enough to keep you up. Assuming you are casting responsibly. |
