Where did your tribal axe drop?
I keep hearing from everybody that there is no record of a max tribal axe ANYWHERE ever found. though I have seen up to 22 damage so far.
If you remember where your tribal axe dropped or by what, I will see if I can try and find one for myself =) Mine dropped in pockmark flats, though only 5-7 damage. I mean tribal blades can drop from anything and anyone, so tribal axes should be the same way, no? |

One dropped for me tonight. I'm pretty sure it dropped in the Sanctum Cay mission. I promptly sold it to the merchant.

I found a cheesy 6-17, or something like that, outside of Beetletun from those gargoyles.

well see as I said, tribal blades usually drop from... anything. they have no alternate skin, just different in name. And since you got yours from gargoyles and i got mine from storm riders or stone elementals.... i am sure they can come from anything.
One person in one thread posted they pop out alot outside of pikens square... the only thing outside of pikens square is charr. so another form of evidence. My guess is tribal axe is a completely random (but chances of it happening in each drop around probably 0.2 percent or less ) so its rare as well. So I see only 2 ways of it dropping... 1) constantly farm the highest level place (wouldnt try UW or FOW though) and one day hope one might plop out. this next one seems a little more viable. 2) Frozen chest or lost strongbox. I forget which one drops weapons. But from what I heard, the weapon drops are entirely random too, but seem to be max. So I guess after around 600 times of trying you MIGHT just find a max tribal axe, chances are the gods will screw you and it will just be white... BUT NO WORRY! I am sure since you have the only max tribal axe in existence thus far. You could sell it for hundreds of ecto.... but why? |

It was a tribal axe, not a tribal blade. I've found numerous tribal axes from the gargoyles outside Beetletun.

Yeah why not? (smile) I'd like to see more rares drop in easier to reach areas. I mean this is a game about skill and not "time spent" right? (smile)

Forum players are just very small minority of Guild Wars community. I bet many max tribal axes have been found but we just don't know about it because they haven't spread the word. Some might even use one of them but don't know it is rare and expensive.

i found a 6-23 outside of druids outlook, i think jungle is the last place where monsters can drop them, and very few monsters can drop max items there, although they are very close to max

Well if it seems charr can drop them, PERHAPS if you do Last Day Dawns quest over and over (obviously quitting before winning) then you might be able to find one. Because remember, the charr there become lvl 24 and such >.<. I could imagine a lvl 24 charr axe warrior dropping one.
or just abandon and take it again after doing it |

I think that Nefastaru on this forum has a 6-27, and that's the highest anyone has claimed to have.
Tribal Axes and Sickles, from my experience, drop primarily in Kryta and sometimes in the Maguuma Jungle. I think your best shot at getting a high damage one (or even a max one - gulp) is in the Sanctum Cay mission, since that is still in Kryta and has the highest level monsters available (other than LDD, but I'm not sure how that would work from an item standpoint). |

I see someone used their necromancy to bring this seven month old thread back in the form of a putrid undead servant.....
