Hey, as a new player who is a warrior can anyone give me some tips on what would be a good recipe to craft a wicked sword. thanks in advance.

Erm, this isn't WoW. You either have to find, buy or have it crafted by an NPC (with the correct materials and gold).

Max Damage for a sword is 15-22, which normally requires 9 points in your Swordmanship attribute.
Good swords also come with bonuses, the most popular being +15% Dmg (While HP is over 50%) or +5 energy.
Weapons can also be modified. In the case of the Sword, you have Hilts and Pommels, the most popular pommel being +30HP (I prefer +5 Armour)

Right now, I have a Cruel Long Sword of Defense. It's Max Damage, 15^50 (see my +15% Dmg comment), extends Deep Wound durations by 33% and gives me an additional 5 Armour.
