- alot of people playing online? yes of course, particularly in the latest chapter which is nightfall. - depends on how u define "fun". missions/quests/items/pve/pvp/items/armors/pets/farming are just some sources of fun u can enjoy in guildwars. - u still can play with other players, or guildmates or just friends? of course u can choose to play by yourself. if u want the best team play, henchmen and heroes are the possible solution out because they dont speak or leave halfway during a quest/mission - it doesnt get boring fast if u have more than 1 chapters, i see most players have been following all 3 chapters closely so im sure theres alot of things to do. i'd still say dont count too much on this because every game that has ever existed will become boring at one point of time. - more player base, updates and heroes = get nightfall. while prophecies and factions are still viable, i'd suggest starting those campaigns with a group of mates.. |

But Guild Wars offers me a different experience with less time demands. Don't get me wrong, I spend 8-10 hours (or more) a day regularly playing the Guild Wars but I don't have to spend that much time, if you get my meaning. WoW had some high time investments for PvE endgame and it was a lot of work, IMO. Also, no monthly subscription fees is kind of nice. Just get a trial key from someone and download the game client and play it. See for yourself. |

Nightfall has the best story line of the 3, and more people are playing it than the other 2. BUT, the majority of people playing in Nightfall are building their parties out of Hero and Henchmen AI's and going out questing and all that by themselves. It took me about 2 weeks to get through the storyline, but many people did it within a couple of days. factions is the worst of the 3. The story-line and voice acting are just bad. It's not new player friendly as the learning curve is very steep. Alliance Battles (12 vs 12 PvP) are quite fun. It took me a while to get through the story-line, as I could only take factions in small doses. |
