I am confused (Prophecies to Factions)
I'm planning once when I'm finished with Prophecies, I'm gonna get Factions. But the problem is, is that I don't know how my account will be transfered to Factions. And once when I do get Factions, will I be able to uninstall Prophecies and still be able to go to Tyrian?

Once you get Factions all you have to do is add the CD key to your existing account. From Lion's Arch you will be able to accept a quest that will take you to Kaineng Center in Factions. You will then be able to complete Factions with any Tyrian characters you have. In addition to this, the added Factions CD key will give you 2 additional character slots and you will be able to create characters of the Factions professions with these (if you choose to.) MAKE SURE when you get the CD key that you add it to your existing account or your Tyrian characters will not be able to access Factions and vice versa. If you have any more questions let me know, I can be found in game as Zephyr Rose.

Okay, what you do is once you get the game there will be an access key which you will need to add to your prophecies account (just start up GW like you would to play prophecies) which can be done from the main screen. (logged out) After you do this you can log into your account normally and you'll have two more character slots and will be able to make PvE characters in Factions and can travel to Canthan on any of your Tyrian characters that have made it to Lion's Arch. (You can switch between both continents as often as you want.)
Edit: Zephyr beat me to it. |

Eh. The GW installation brings EVERYTHING that was released before.
Installing the Nightfall DVD (i have the CE), will put as well as Prophecies, Factions AND Nightfall on my pc. The same will happen as well for chap. 4, likely. This because people will bring campaign specific professions, special armor and skills to the old campaigns as well (but you can't have it yourself though, unless you own the campaign) Also, if you attack a Factions key to your Prophecies account, you will get 2 more character slots, and you'll get a quest in Lion's Arch that will bring your Tyrian characters to Cantha (it's an easy quest with a 1k experience reward). If you start with a Canthan character, you'll be able to do a quest that brings you to Tyria on that char, as soon as you hit Kaineng Centre. I hope that cleared it up, have fun in Cantha |

When you get the game, add the key to your exisiting account by clicking "Create Account or Add Access Key" on the login screen. The instructions there should be fairly obvious, but just to be sure (You'd be surprised): Add the new key to your existing account using that account's username and password. DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT. (Sorry)
When the key is added, you can create a new Canthan character (You also get 2 slots added to your account), you can play an exisiting Tyrian character and travel to Cantha (game completion not required) by taking the "Mhenlo's Request" quest from Firstwatch Sergio [Skills] and following that quest. As for uninstalling Prophecies: Keep it on your Hard Drive, because the GW Client will simply attempt to re-download all that game's data, and you'll need it if and when you choose to travel to Tyria (which you may want to do with your Canthan) [EDIT] Woah, that's a lot of responses to the OP in 5 minutes Last edited by The Pointless; Nov 25, 2006 at 10:06 PM // 22:06.. |

Long story short: You can't uninstall prophecies. When you open the game again it'll just download it all again. Even if you don't plan on playing Prophecies anymore, it still needs to be on your computer for everything that's prophecies-specific.
