Rare Material Merchants - Guild Wars Forums

How do you find the best deal for rare materials and/or runes from the npcs? Is it better to sell these things in really crowded places or really empty places?

Like if I wanted to sell jadite shards (but not to a person), is there a general rule of how to find the best deals?

The Trader NPC's are all linked to the 'Global Market'. The prices will be the same at any trader.

You just have to check when you find a time you think is the best to sell/buy. Its like playing the stock market, but its hardly worth the effort anymore. Now I only sell the materials I find and check the traders regularly too find the best time to sell it (It goes up and down during every day).

During the weekends there is more traffic, so the prices will often go up for rare materials, then go back down during the week while many players are busy. Not a hard rule, but its what i've noticed.
