Question about fake bids/low rank bidders in Guru Auctions system - Guild Wars Forums

Hi, I'm a Guru Auctions system user, and couple days ago I've tried to sell a high end item. After some time, I've got a nice bid and my auction showed in the higest bids section on auctions homepage. Then this bid was overbidded by another user, and he bid so high that no one tried to overbid him (couse it would be unresonable). This bid of course turned out to be fake. I was really angry, of course I left a -1 feedback, and relisted this auction once again. And once again there was a bid made by the same user... At that point I knew he wouldn't buy it, I've contacted him in game, talked to him and he stopped doing that. But still I've lost some time and a potential buyer at the first auction. That was in the past few days.
Now I'm also selling another high end item, of a great value i think, and till now it went all ok. But couple of minets ago I saw that there is new bid, much higher than the rest, and its made by a user with lots of negative feedback (he's "rank" -5). I've read his feedback and nearly all the posts were saying things like "dont trade with him", "fake bidder" and so on... I dont know, maybe now he's really about to buy my stuff, but as a seller I'm really confused. Before this I've got like 4 bids that looked real, and if this guy isn't relly about to buy my item I'll loose a week and some potential buyers, and I really don't want that to happen.
After this long (sorry for that) story here's my question: do I (as a seller) have any control of my bidders? I mean, can I "delete" a bidder if the bid has high possibility of beeing fake? I've spend some time trying to find an option like this but I was unsuccesfull (maybe I'm looking wrong.. if so, sorry for such a long post, just please tell me what to do). I know that you can feedback a good/bad seller, and if You see a seller with low rank You wouldn't buy from him, but there are also feedbacks for buyers. People can say "dont trade with him, fake bidder", but if there's no option for seller to "delete" a bidder, fake buyers can mess any auction they want (until they're banned) just ignoring if someone puts a bad feedback...
I would really love to finish this auction in time and without any fakes, or bidders with "sub zero" rank. Please, tell me what can I do to make that happen.

I had the same problem a while back. I emailed the admins of the auction and they said they couldn't / wouldn't do anything.

I can only suggest that you get in touch with the people who were outbid and sell it to them at their bid price. The auction admins should ban such fake bidders, but apparently they do not.

Sell anything that high in the High End Forums, not the auction system.

The Auctions here are really only nice for selling common stuff, or mid-range weapons and such.

Anything that goes into needing too many ecto as part of the trade (over 100k) is usually better to sell on the forums unless its a common thing that has set value usually, like a weapon skin that sells alot, or a green.

I was thinking about that, but decided to put it on auctions instead of forum (I have the feeling that more players use the auction - maybe I'm wrong). I saw lots of high end stuff sold there and I'm sure most of those items were sold without problems. Plus I guess it's a bit late to change it to forums, becouse people are now aware that this item is being sold on auctions, if they see that it's gone some of them might not know it was just moved. ATM my auction has over 1200 views and it was going only for like 2 days... if I move it I'll loose clients that are probably waiting for the last day to bid something.
Plus I really think that this system was made for all kind of stuff, no matter what price it would have. It just needs some "debugger" option.
I guess if nothing can be done about it I'll do like Swinging Fists told, I'll just e-mail the previous bidders and just relist the auction with shorter duration... and just hope some ppl will let it go and stop being pathetic :/
