How do I use my Nightfall character on one of the other two campaigns which I have on my account. I looked on travel couldnt see anything, maybe I need to progress in the game more?

You take a quest in Kamadan that allows you to travel to Kaining or Lions Arch. When you go to Kamadan it should pop up on your screen that you can do the quests to go to another contenent.

And the quest is only available after you reach the Consulate Docks outpost.
