Ok I really don't want to play the newbie island with yet another character. I have been thinking about getting a ferry to the Consulate Docks then to LA. After I get to LA, could I come back to newbie island and do only the quests as is if I were originally a prophecies character?

In other words, I have brought my toons made in prophecies to NF, and automatically gain dunkoro, tahlkora, koss, melonnni, then only do a few other quests + gain sunspear points, and then reach the mainland Elona. I was wondering if I ferry my NF toon over to prophecies and back, will I recieve the same results?

You have to finish the primary quests and missions plus meet the sunspear requirements, regardless of where the character was born. There are simply different requirements for those born in Elona and those born in Tyria.

Characters from Cantha and Elona do not have access to the primary or secondary quests in Tyria between Ascalon and LA.

Characters from Tyria and Elona do not have access to the primary or secondary quests in Cantha on Shing Jea Island.

Characters from Tyria and Cantha do not have access to the primary or secondary quests in Istan.

On that same note, you only get the two +15 attribute point quests from the continent you started on.

You can take characters to every other continent and follow the the storyline from where it joins in for foreigners.

If you get a new Elonian character a ferry to LA, you'll be able to explore Tyria and follow the storyline quests from LA and beyond, but you will still have to go back and do at least your primary quests and the missions in Istan in order to proceed further in Elona.

If you don't like the requirements for new Elonian characters in Istan, then I suggest you make a new Tyrian or Canthan character, get them as far as LA or KC, jump over and grab heroes as a foreign character then.

Also, beware - some have done this only to find they can not gain enough sunspear points to enter Jokanur Diggings. At least make sure you have done your two attribute point quests before doing this.
