Selling or purchasing Guild Wars in-game items or gold for or with real money is prohibited and against the EULA.

Yes i read it. However at the time I did not beleive that people would actually pay real money to get something that they can get by themselves for free if they werent lazy

while you can buy gold online it is unethical, unsafe, and against the user agreement you made when you created your account. i also believe this topic is against the policy of these forums

okay let me clarify something buying gold off of ebay or any other website IS NOT against the EULA because any site you buy it from clearly states that you are paying for the TIME and EFFORT the person used to get you the gold and there is nothing in the EULA that says a person can't give you gold so that little sentence in the gold sellers website or ebay advertisement protects from any and all possibility of being banned for the sale of gold in game. Although buying and selling gold is cheap and unnessicary it is no way against the EULA. thanks for your time
here is an example that i just retrived off of an ebay gold seller- Remember you are paying for the time I spent on collecting these Items/Gold, not the Items/Gold themselves. All characters, items and Gold in "Guid Wars" are the sole property of NCSoft Corporation. This auction is not for the ownership of their intellectual property but it is merely for the time I spent acquiring the credits and getting them to you, all item is and will remain sole property of SOE/Lucas Arts. "Guid Wars" is a trademark of NCSoft Corporation. -Caldec Last edited by Caldec; Dec 21, 2006 at 04:38 AM // 04:38.. |

Well technically they aren't selling the gold... but the labour spent getting the gold. You are paying for their time not the gold itself.

again note it says you may not sell the items it does not state that you can't pay somebody to help you get the items you are not paying for an account, characters, items, coin or copyrighted material you are paying a person for their time which this clearly states
Remember you are paying for the time I spent on collecting these Items/Gold, not the Items/Gold themselves. Please read what i jsut said clearly before saying case closed |
