I have guildwars factions and nightfall and i have put my faction character onto nightfall. But what i want to know is can i get a hero for my faction character?
If so how?
I cant seem to get one, please help.

You can get the heroes by progressing through Nightfall, the quest "Battle Preparations" from Seamarshal Bendro in the Sun Docks unlocks Koss, Dunkoro, Melonni and Tahlkora.
As you have Factions you can also get Zenmai, an Assassin Hero. The quest to obtain her is "Gain Zenmai" obtained from Imperial Guardsman Linro in Kaineng City.

yes you can, there is at least one faction hero you can cap with your canthan/elonian chars in chanta (just search wiki for the quest ...)

most hero's however are in elona and can only be capped there by doing quests too with whatever char and where ever it my be born, certain hero's will only be unlockable until you reach the end of the nightfall campaign.

and also you can cap 1 tyria hero in offcourse tyria
