What "last games"?
Staff and wand projectiles will change to show the correct damage type. Arrows from bows will change if they are Fiery, otherwise they just look normal. All other weapons don't show a damage type, except for certain items with special effect like the [wiki]Fiery Dragon Sword[/wiki].

I don't know what game you've been playing, but damage has always been shown in pretty yellow and red numbers. Blue is healing, purple is energy.

Honestly it doesn't matter. With a few exceptions there are no elemental weaknesses in this game. Undead take more damage from holy. Titans take more damage from cold. Those are the only two I know for certain off the top of my head that have a definite elemental weakness. Generally speaking though you should know what kind of damage you do based on two things. One you should know what sort of weapon you are wielding. Two you should see any spells that grant you elemental damage displayed, generally in the upper left of your screen. More or less it is up to your situational awareness to keep yourself apprised of whatever type of damage you are doing.

but some armour protect better aganst certain damage types.
Also does this spell make all my attack's deal cold damage then for 30 secs? "Grenth's Fingers All adjacent foes are struck for 20...68 cold damage. For 30 seconds, your attacks deal cold damage. When this Enchantment ends, all adjacent foes are Crippled for 4...9 seconds." So every attack i do then deals cold type damage after I would expect that since certain armours have a resistance also it should been possible to have some visual for what type of attack i deal. |

It makes you deal cold damage while the enchantment lasts. It could be longer that 30 seconds if you have a +enchantment duration modifier on your weapon and it can end early by being removed by an enemy.
The cold effect could also be over-ridden by another enchantment, say one that deals holy or earth instead. The last one cast should be the one in effect. |
