Your Main Source of Income
I've been toying with the different methods of making money in GW, and I would like to know which of these methods is where you make your primary source of income:
-FoW/UW (This means you, Europe) -Farming -Buy Low/Sell High -Crafting Materials -Other Many thanks. I'm primarily a farmer, but with all the nerfing, I'm just flat-out broke now and would like to know the mainstream method. |

I still farm all the time, it's my primary money maker. Different spots here and there across all three Campaigns with a bit of Boss farming as well.
Still don't know what this farming nerf is that everyone is complaining about. KANE |

I hate to sound wishy-washy but all of the above. I don't like to do one thing all the time, so I fiddle around with whatever tickles my fancy.

Farming is the best source of income including FoW and UW. After comes running if you have prophecies. For the others, i dont know, i farm and run ppl and dont really do the others. Theres still some money to be made by questing in cantha and elona, if you intend to follow the storyline, questing should cover all of your normal expenses as well as get you a little extra cash.

Regular drops from playing through the game. You'd be amazed at how many more golds you get when you never farm and play 4-man everywhere. Merching whites also generates a fair amount of gold.

Playing the game. Brought my warrior to Elone, did all the missions, primary quests, hero quests, Treasure chests, and a fair amount of normal quests to level up my heros. Nice money + the odd alright gold + the odd rune = Primavil Armour once I got to the last mission. I got my weopens as some of my golds. Armour and weopens, plus a character through another chapter, not bad I say. Do that 2 more times = a pimped out warrior.
I have a semi rule that all my characters have to be self sufficent. My ele wants new armour? Tough she has to get it herself, I think that makes the game more fun for me, and makes sure I don't get over bored of farming. I don't see the point in having lots of money in your account, its there for spending, so I spend it. I don't have a farming build, rarly do UW or FoW, just play the game. Works for me. |

Playing the game and opening lots of chests while playing the game. I farm a little bit, too, but not much.

Before AI update Running Droks and Grotto. Still do droks for guildies and m8s occasionally with my Dervish now, Grotto a few times as well.
For a short while I did buy low sell high and made a very large profit off of (from 30k to 250k in 2-3 weeks) but got tired of spending hours spamming in town. Besides that done the regular farms + some not so regular All in all I'm happy with the income I generate, don't stick to 1 particular method, and when I have a decent ammount I usually broke myself getting a nice new 15k armor set for one of my chars :s |

Any random green drop from bosses I kill while questing through campaigns... Or a gold rune if I get very lucky. I'm struggling to get my necro a 1,5k armor!

I just play the game. And every so often, I get some phat l00tz that pads my money pouch quite nicely.
Also, buying low and selling high isn't just for people wanting to get rich quick! |

I just play the game with several characters, and it would seem that between mission/quest rewards and random drops, they make quite enough to get a nice elite armor for each. Each evening, I find myself several quests and a few thousand gold ahead.
With the addition of Elona treasures, this has gone even further. It may not be enough for FoW armour and Chrystalline swords, but it is enough for the main character. Also, the collectible drops are enough to let me equip most of my heroes. |
