I like necros and dervishes. I would say make a dervish, and take warrior or monk secondary.

But I do have a problem with warriors
and I have enough with 1 monk So if I should take a Dervish as my first profession, I rather want OR the assasin ( ) OR the necro as my 2th. So.... |

IMO dervish gets very boring, it can do one thing with very little variation, I completed nightfall and half of factions on mine and then abandonned it. Assassins are not really suited to PvE. You'd be best with a caster class IMO, monk if you like monking, with the recent nerfs to dom, mesmers are back to being lame in PvE, ritualist is a good choice with the recent megabuffs to the class (lets hope channeling doesn't get nerfed too hard!). Elementalist or necromancer or rit is the way to go I think, gl

Ok ok ok...
First of all... it depends on whether you're playing for fun.... or playing to accumulate wealth and whatnot. Accumulating wealth can only be done by certain classes (because A-Net makes its classes painfully unbalanced PvE-side) such as Monks, Warriors, Rangers and Necros. If you're playing for fun however... you have all the classes available to you. Some of them will be tougher to use than others but generally speaking the tougher ones are also the most fun to play. I play a PvE Assassin. The amount of abuse PvE Assassin players get (especially from PvP Assassins) is quite astronomical.... but they do look rather impressive in their movements and shadow-stepping can be crazy fun sometimes. Ritualists are fun if nothing else than for their weird, weaving movements. Necromancers are hella fun if you're power-manic like I get sometimes (nothing quite like SSing an entire hoarde and watching the numbers fly)... plus they look awesome too (at least if you like Giger-esque outfits). Dervishes.... well... they're kinda common now... a bit too much... but playing with Avatar forms is particularly amusing. Ultimately... its just whichever you like the look and feel of best..... unless of course you're looking to conquer the Elite areas.... in which case you're severely limited in choice... |

So should I go for the necro/Assassin?
Or the Assassin/ necro? |
