It didn't have to be a 55 btw, many prot builds with ZB+enchants that reduce dmg+guardian can stay alive indefinitely against any number of non-interrupting, non-enchantment removing foes. He could even be using SoR.

Prot spirit, Shield of Absorption and Zealous Benediction. These are all completely common skills found on just about every monk in RA.

Don't need 55 to be invincible against pure damage dealers.
