Default What does "clears the current target" do?

The new update has a keyboard option to clear the current target but all it seems to do is remove the onscreen bar of that NPC. I still continue to attack that target and so do my henchies. I assumed it would act similar to the Escape key and cancel the current action. If not what is the purpose of it?

Having not bothered with it - I assume cancel a called target? It has been irritating in the past to accidentally call a far off target and have the hench/heroes rush off with nothing you can do about it - at least that I knew of. I've been playing since the update (LOVE the pet controls and added storage - no more mules for me!) but haven't needed to cancel a called target and I'm too lazy to simply see if that is what it does.

How did you manage to answer my query without reading it? :-)

Psycho?
Sometimes if you have more than one called target things can get confusing. The hero/hench response to called targets notwithstanding, real live players can hit the wrong target if you have more than one eager caller.

Thanks I thought that was it but I was only calling one target so I didn't see the effect at first. I called several and could cancel them. Nice addition to the update and long overdue like extra storage :-)
