So I am thinking about buying Guild Wars (sick of WoW) but what all do I need? I've seen Guild Wars Prophecies, Regular, Factions, Trilogy & Night-Fall. Which of these do I need to experience it all; just the trilogy(figure it includes everything i need)?
Also, i was thinking of making an assassin, how are they in this game (pvp/pve wise)? What is this Hero class i've also heard about. I used to play along time ago during the first Guild Wars before the expansions, but i no longer have that account (gave it away) but now I'm thinking of coming back fresh. Seems like a lot of new content and that looks exciting. Last question is there anyplace i can pay online for the games and get to play right away? I've seen this trilogy on E-Bay for around 80$ U.S.D but on the PlayNC website comes out to a lot more paying for each pack. Anyways thanks in advance - Mark (p.s can i change my forum name? Samurai is miss-spelled ) |

If you want the full game experience you should by NF, biut I recomend prophecies or the whole trilogy. That is the only way you can get heros. Assassins are good for pvp and pve. They attack fast and hard, but have the defect of low armor. You can buy the game and download it at the official guild wars site and be able to play right away. You should be able to go into user control panel and edit from there.

My personal feelings are that you shouyld get at least Nightfall and Prophesies....but if you want an assassin, you'll need Factions. Assassins are not widely accepted by many members of the PvE/PvP community because many people try to tank with them and they are a "hit and run" type class. Get that part of their fighting right, and people will like you more...or hate you less.
DO NOT buy games on ebay...if they are previously used you could be getting an unsecured account....most likely. Buy from a store, the extra bucks you spend will be worth the trouble. Heroes are more or less customizable henchies with some basic behavior controls. |

To experience everything you need the Trilogy, or you can buy Prophecies, Nightfall, and Factions seperately. Assassins are good in PvE as long as you know what you're doing and don't try and tank like a warrior. They are better in PvP even though their most popular (and broken) build just got nerfed =(. And definitely don't buy the games on eBay or any used copy of the game.
