Whenever I think of the Asura talking, I think of Nibbler and his race, and how they talked. Kind of a high American-English cross.
I don't mind the Asura too much, they look kind of wierd though. As long as they can fight, not just shin bash, and maybe a cool racial bonus (of course other races would have one aswell, including us humans). Yeah, nothing was really mentioned about the sylvari in the PCG preview. I think they are kind of like the druids or the wardens from Echovald. |

I just re read the PC Gamer artical and I CAN NOT find anything about Asuras, Norn, Sylvaris or Charrs as heros in GWEN, all it say's is that we will encounter them as we play through there lands.
If anyone have a link to an artical or interviu stating other wise please post it. |

My theory is that the Sylvari (Either just the first one, or the first few of their race) we'll see born (Created? Planted?) will deem your character(s) worthy of something, saving Tyria, saving them from evil, saving 15% or more on Xunlai insurance, whatever... and then one of them will agree to join you and the rest of your Hero friends on your journey.
(Oh yeah, kudos to whoever moved this thread into the right place for me. It was, after all, 4AM in the morning when I started it.) |

...Did you even read the entire sentence? You cut off the end, I know that's what they've stated. What they haven't said is how exactly. Are they born like humans? Do they grow like plants, or do they just pop into existence from the Mists, like Razah? I'm not denying the statements of the Dev interviews.
I'm just saying that after they're created, however it's done, one of them may or may not choose to join you and your other Heroes. I'll use General Morgahn as an example. It took the destruction of the Sebelkeh Basilica and the deaths of his fellow followers there to get him to see the real Varesh and switch sides. Something like that may occur with the creation of the Sylvari. You save them from something, or they see Tyria in its true light, and one decides to join you. |

I hope that if Gwen is a hero, it requires all the old Gwen stuff I've been hoarding in my bank for all these years. I kinda hope it's been for a reason that I've clung onto all of it.

Charr will be either warrior or ele primary. They do have that cult of fire thing going on.
Silvary or however you spell it will be Rangers. Hello, they are trees. I'd love to have one, but I'm guessing they will be born out of whatever cataclism the gods have us fix. It's always like, that, you see? The gods screw up, and then make us fix it. Take the Ghostly Hero. I hate him. He's a BLOODY GHOST. What's stopping him from uhm... ghosting his way and doing his bloody chores? Making me run all over the place like an errandboy. Gah. Asuras look like they're made to be a squishy class. I will DIE LAUGHING if they are a melee class. Or if they are like, the size of a Charr xD There are Charr NPC's in NF, so I'm guessing we will have some more in GWEN. What about Forgotten? I'd like to have one of them with me |
