Is it possible to change your secondary profession if you have already chosen it? I want to get the expansion sooner or later and wanted to try they new classes without starting a whole new character.

yes, at certain points in each game you have the ability to switch your secondary.

GuildWiki is like the bible for Guild Wars

You can only change your second profession after you've completed either Ascension, Weh No Su, or the Hunted! quest.

You change your second profession at the Great Temple of Balthazar, Senji's Corner, or talking to Zuwarah in the Command Post after Building the Base: Prisoners of War, and in Prophecies you have to complete the corresponding quest to your preferred profession.

you can:
1: go to The Temple of Balthazar and pay 500g to get your second proffession changed, or you can:

2: complete the quests found all throught the desert and change your second proffession that way

The ways to change secondary were noted... BUT I would highly recomend if you want to try different proffesions to actualy make one with that as primary because some matchups just arent right like that
