Axe of charrslaying - low damage, why?
This is actually my first ever post on here, so please bear with . OK - the thing i really don't understand is why i have a "Battle-Axe of Charrslaying" (6-16 dmg) and it seems to do 2-5 damage against level 4 creatures, it makes no sense. I'm a level 13 warrior now, with an axe mastery of 7, but yet it still deals pretty much null damage, why???
It's so frustrating, because it's the only decent axe i've got and i really want to use axe skills in place of sword skills. Please help!!! |

Because to get the stated damage on any weapon, you must invest 12 attribute points into it. Also, the damage could be getting reduced by armor.
Also, sure you actually did invest your points correctly. |

Do you meet the requirement of the axe? Have you made sure you don't have the condition weakness on you? they are the only two things i can think of that would affect the damage so. Either that or the creatures you are attacking have a very high armor vs physical (which i doubt seeming they are lvl 4).

well.. no actually, which is the weird thing - it says it requires lvl 3 axe mastery, which i obviously have, and it's like that all the time, even without any hexes or enchantments at all. I really don't understand!

Bump your axe requirement up as high as you can (12 if possible) then go and see the damage. More than likely you meet the requirement of the axe but the armor level of the creature you are attacking is lowering your output.

Sorry, it's kind of still the same (boosted it to axe mastery 10, that's my max). However, what i didn't notice before was that it does about 30ish damage to charr - huh??? I've actually just switched back to using swords now, but it'd still be kinda useful to find out why!
Is it at all possible that it could maybe be a glitch in the game. e.g. supposed to be 5-6 damage or sumthing? |

I have no other explaination than that it's a glitch. If you have Wild Blow (always the same damage against the same armor level), go test this axe with maxed axe mastry on charr and on non-charr (wild blow them), and post your results here. I (and most people) should be able to tell if it's supposed to be then. |

What is the req of the axe? and have you put your points in the right attribute (I know sounds silly, but it does happen)

Charrslaying modded axes from collectors are bugged. They deal 100%dmg to charr and have -x% (depending on charrslaying mod) to normal foes.
