You transfer stuff between characters via the storage vault. If you are playing the Prophecies campaign, you wont be able to access it 'til you leave the tutorial area. It costs 50 gold per character the first time you access it.
The best way to lvl up is simply kill stuff and do quests. |

You can tranfser them one of two ways. The easiest way is to access your storage account and deposit the money in there. Talk to any of the Xunlai Agents to access your storage account, then you can use the xunlai chests at anytime. Deposit the gold into your bank and retrieve it on any other character. The second way is to have someone you trust hold it then give it to your other character, but trust me option number one is the safest way to get this done.
The best way to level up is to just follow the gameplay and do the quests. The quests usually give a better exp yield than just killing monsters. |

Thank you both for the answer.
I think I didn't reach it yet, since I didn't do that quest that get me to Old Ascalon. I thought about runs, wouldn't it be better to lvl? Cause I played 3h in a row and only reached lvl 4 :/ |

You can get ran from Ascalon to Lion's Arch and, if you have Factions, you can go across to Cantha to buy Max level armor, then go back to Ascalon and continue with the game. This is by no means imperative and personally I feel it spoils the game. If I were you I'd buy the highest level armor you can get in Ascalon and play your way through the game.
First place to buy Max Level Armor in Prophecies: Droknar's Forge First place to buy Max Level Armor in Factions: Kaineng Centre First place to buy Max Level Armor in Nightfall: Consulate Docks One other thing to note is that levelling up in Prophecies is VERY slow...Factions and Nightfall both have much greater XP reward quests. The bonus with Prophecies is you get skills as quest rewards which is nice. |

Take your time if this is your first play, 3hrs is nothing in this game. You can get to lv7 or 8 easily by doing all of the quests in pre.

I hardly can get 100 gold, so I think I won't have money for that hehehe.
I only have Prophecies, and I want to buy Factions or Nightfall (what is best to buy for now?), but I can't find the boxes of those game in my country... |

Welcome to Guild Wars!
The best way to level up is by doing every quest you can get your hands on. You'll find a storage agent after you go to the Acadamy (Do NOT go to the Acadamy until you've reached level 7 or 8, otherwise you'll be in for a tougher time later) As for Gold - save it. The only thing you should buy where you're at is a salvage kit and an identification kit. You'll need upgrade your armor once you've gone through the Acadamy. You can get the materials you'll need for it by salvaging items, so that will save you some when you do buy your armor. Use the ID kit to identify blue/purple weapons as they may be worth more when they're ID'd, One other thing: DO NOT sell any dyes until you meet the Dye Trader (it's worth a lot more than the 1g that the merchant will give you for it. Black & White dyes are worth thousands!) |

I also suggest playing the game with a buddy if you have any in game. This is how I did it and it was a blast, not only because its fun to play with others, but because if you suck right away they dont get mad and just leave you in an area you cant do your self. Also, playing all the quests you can find is nice because you get a huge range of skills, so you don't have to go looking for them after you get farther and want a certain skill

What profession have you chosen, and what skills do you have available? Or are you just wondering what the best profession is to use? If it is the latter, there are so many ways to configure any class that all builds are great. I use a Warrior/Monk right now and it has worked for me very well, but I play with 2 other people most of the time, 1 is a Monk/Mesmer and the other is an Elementalist/Mesmer. It really depends on how you want to play the game. Give me some insight and I will try to help you develop a build that you might like.

I want a solo char, and I don't matter to start again mine. I'm already Me/E but I think I'm gonna choose W/something, because I think warriors should be the best at PvE.
Any advice is welcome! |

OK here is what I have going with my warrior/monk, it is pretty good as long as you are careful and make sure to put the enchanments back on once mesmers break the enchants.
Sever Artery, Gash, Galrath Slash, Final Thrust, Mending, Live Vicariously, Healing Signet, Bonettis Defence. When I get into a battle area I cast mending and then live vicariously right away before even getting close enough to fight. Then sever artery, gash, galrath slash, final thrust in that order. You may not have all these skils available right away but it is a good solo build for ettins(lvl 15) and as long as you arent fighting too many people at a time(more than 5) you can do pretty good. If you ever need to use healing signet I suggest using bonettis defense, because then you are blocking attacks and wont get interrupted as easy while healing yourself, some people prefer healing breeze to healing signet, but it is totally up to the person. I can use either and it works both ways. right now my attributes are 10-tactics, 11-sword, 9-healing, the rest on strength. Good luck to you. Also, axes work very well with live vicariously because of cyclone axe hitting like 5 people at a time, gives you 5X health bonus from live vicariously. Also check out this link, there are people always posting solo characters for different areas. It is very helpful. http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10038096 One other thing is that I started with a hammer and just recently switch to this other build, it is fun, but its only because I need gold and am looking to make fast cash by farming certain areas of the game. I would suggest building your character as you see fit while playing, if something doesnt work go back to town and switch it. That is how I learned about a lot of the skills out there. Make sure you like the main class, because you can always switch the secondary later in the game if it ends up that you dont use it. Try something like: Cyclone Axe Penetrating Blow Eviscerate Executioner's Strike Distracting Blow Watch Yourself Healing Signet Resurrection Signet 14-16 Axe Mastery 13 Tactics It's hard making a Prophecies only build too. Once you beat the game you should buy the other chapters and you can make that build much more effective. Especially with Flail from Nightfall. |

I also got to say it seems like you didn't even read what that person looking for a build wanted, he said solo, so no heal makes yur guy die pretty fast i would say, no matter where you are by yourself. and why exactly is my build so terrible, i had edited the post to say i was just farming, but u must have chimed in while i was doing that. so lets be reasonable and not call peoples things absolutely terrible, especially when you havent read the rest of the thread because that really hurt, and now i think i might go jump off a bridge into the mississippi Last edited by Syntropic The Red; Jun 21, 2007 at 05:52 PM // 17:52.. |

So making an W/Mo is a bad investiment?
What's a good investiment to go with Warrior? I would like to have Factions in my country, but here is impossible to find. I think I'm gonna buy Nightfall then. |

W/Mo is not a bad combination, but there are people out there who play it badly - just like any other profession.
For playing your Mesmer - stick to domination magic skills for damage dealing (Backfire & Empathy FTW!) and a couple of skills from the Inspiration line can help with health & energy management. Fitting an interrupt or 2 on your skill bar is always a good idea. Check out the other section of these forums for build ideas. You won't have all the skills you need yet, but looking over those builds will give you the idea on how they work and ways to adapt your skills to fit your playing style without sacrificing quality. |

Hmm right... Are there any combo able to solo all those high lvl areas?
I see thousands of pve builds but each one is for a specific area... It's kinda hard o be able to play only on a specific spot. |
