Is there something wrong with drops now? - Guild Wars Forums

I play primarily with full hench/hero groups and only normal mode. The part that confuses me is... before loot scaling my drops were pretty decent (golds on occasion, but mostly purples/blues/whites) - as long as I didn't stay in the same area too long.

Ever since loot-scaling... my play-style hasn't changed at all... but now I'm getting one gold drop every two weeks (where it used to be at least five golds every week)... I'm now getting about two or three purples every week (where it used to be 10-30 every week) and I'm now even barely getting any blues, no more than 10 - 15 a week (where I used to get tons of blue crap).

Even when I warp around to hard level areas... like Hell's Precipice, etc.... I seem to only get whites and gold pieces dropping. Even in Tombs I'm getting whites! Is there something wrong? I thought the "full-party" groups were to see no change since loot-scaling. I'm getting sick of just gold pieces and whites dropping everywhere. Anyone else experience this?

Oh, just about every other player in the game, thats all. Have you read any of the other threads about loot scaling yet by any chance?

Yeah... I was so confused as to what it impacts (and still am)... which is why I stopped following all the loot scaling threads. I have to admit this thread is a little selfish on my part... because it's my way of getting a quick answer to the thing that really puzzles me.

I disagree. My first character's over a year old and only ever got 4 gold drops during play. The character I'm currently playing on is 3 months old and has recieved 20 gold drops. Loot scaling isn't really affecting me at all.

And you aren't a full "human" party, so not sure how the loot scaling will treat your group of Heros and Henchmen. Maybe someone who understands this a little better can explain how solo'ing by yourself and being the only person with Heros/Henchment might or might not be treated differently from a TRUE full party.

well Taiyz its affecting everyone else. you either have very strange luck or your making things up.
