Should i buy nightfall?
well...i do have prophecies, love the missions, the enviorment, the monsters and as i move though the game didnt find it super hard. so i got factions
factions, noob island was pretty easy and as soon as you get off only thing you fight is level 20+ which i found very hard and annoying, the enviorment sucks all it is, is run down towns and dead trees and what not now i dont kno if i should get nightfall...is it rushed into level 20's and really hard missions like factions? or is things slower like prophecies ? Also is the enviorment nice or really crappy like factions? any idea were i can go to see/read comparisons to the other 2? thanks in advance ~Sylent |

Nightfall is much, much better than factions.
1. There is no ugly city to deal with. 2.Leveling characters isn't as slow as Prophecies and the pace is just a bit faster, but it's not rushed like in chapter 2. 3. There are some very tricky missions in Nightfall, but once you learn the trick(s) to beating them, they're not tough. 4. They did a really good job with the environment, IMHO. Newb Island is very nice, The mainland has a lot of arid / semi arid landscapes, but there is a lot of variety with regards to Cities, villages, and Fortresses. The Moon Fortress of Gandara is pretty cool. They restored some of the "Wow" factor that Prophecies had and factions lost. 5. Heros - You didn't ask about them, but they are a huge benefit that you get with Nightfall. They're much better for filling out your party than regular henchmen (Assuming you can set them up with good builds - LOL) 6. Storyline - Arguably the best story of the three. There's no hideous voice-acting and the player takes a more central role. Some would say that the grind to get Sunspear points to advance new characters through the early stages is a let down, but if you make sure to talk to the NPCs by rez shrines, you can cut down on that a lot. You can check out the Sticky thread "Players on a budget..." for more information about it. |

Kook pretty much took the words out of my mouth lol. Most of the missions are pretty easy although some of the later ones do get challenging. PVE wise, its harder than Prophecies but definitely not as rushed as Factions was.

Yes, buy it. I started off with nightfall and enjoyed it alot. Leveling is easy but not too easy. The missions are challenging but not impossible (especially realm of torment). Overall after completing the othe campaigns they seemed too easy and not as fun.

just having heroes to be able to independently cap skills makes it worth it.
