Quests In Night Fall - Guild Wars Forums

I have just brought my warrior over from LA as I fancied completeing the game with the warrior. My problem is that whilst I am able to do the missions, I dont seemto be able to get any quests, I dont have this problem in factions.I was wondering is this normal or is the something my character needs to do first?

As you are a foreign character in Nightfall there will be no quests you can do in Istan. Once you have crossed over to the Nightfall mainland you will find plenty of quests to do.

Yeah that's normal, there're only a handful of quests for Tyrian and Canthain folks on Istar. However you can still do the 2 main story missions, all you need to do is just get there.

To clarify a bit:

A character from a one campaign cannot get all the quests of a different campaign. You arrive at a certain "point in time". All quests before that time are not available to you, only the quests that are "after" that time.

In Tyria: a character will arrive at Lion's arch and be able to continue quests from there on. He will miss out on the Ascalon and Northern shiverpeaks quests.

In Cantha: a character will arrive in Kaineng city and be able to start all quests there. He will miss out on the Shing Jea island quests.

In Elona: a character will arrive in Kamadan, but will not be able to do any quests there - only the introductory quest "A land of Heroes", and will then start with the Consulate docks mission.

Thanks for that, Kaineng city I had no problem getting quests which made me wonder why I was getting no quests in NF at least I know now.

Actually, there are 4 main storyline missions on Istan - Chabek Village, Jokanur Diggins, Blacktide Den and Consulate Docks. Only the last one is 'presented' to you in the abbreviated story progression given to non-Elonian characters. As Etta said, the others you have to discover on your own.

Um, it's a bit different:
You can always do missions, usually by walking over to the mission start area, but it will be "in the past". You will complete the mission, you will get credit for the protector titles, however, you will receive no reward. In-mission drops, yes, but no XP, no gold and so on.
