Choking Gas?!
Okay so I got Choking Gas, and under the assumption that it would stop all spells for 10 seconds I tested this HM build on a Ulyodyte.
It's not working.. What exactly does chocking gas do?! Last edited by I Might Avenge U; Aug 06, 2007 at 05:30 AM // 05:30.. |

Choking Gas is a preparation that enable your arrows to interrupt spells when hit. When it hit a foe, choking gas will be spread to all adjacent foes.
It only interrupt spells and not skills. It does not stop all spells for 10 secs, but rather this preparation will last 10 seconds and for this 10 seconds, each arrow you fired will have choking gas. When a spell is interrupted, the normal recharge will begins and no energy will be refunded and there is no aftercast effect when interrupted. |

Try using it with practiced stance and flurry for the best results, oh and a shortbow

Oh just to make it clear, use Practiced Stance, then use the preparation. Flurry will cancel Practiced Stance, but you already get the full effects as long as you used the preparation while you were using Practiced Stance.

Wrong, Ryker, Recurve arrows fly faster, but refire slower. You need a shortbow.

Yeah, I'll probably end up just using a different IAS and frustration. I'm trying to develop a build for interrupting HM healers.. If you guys wanna help out this is what I've figured would be useful so far:
R/Me [skill]Practiced Stance[/skill][skill]Choking Gas[/skill][skill]Dual Shot[/skill][skill]Distracting shot[/skill][skill]Natural Stride[/skill][skill]Frustration[/skill][skill]Troll Unguent[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill] Expertise: 15 Wilderness Survival: 13 Illusion Magic: 8 Last edited by I Might Avenge U; Aug 06, 2007 at 07:50 PM // 19:50.. |

You need a skill that increases attack rate. Flurry or Flail are safe, but this build is more fun
Weapon: Vampiric Shortbow of Fortitude R/W Expertise: 10 + 1 Marksmanship: 11 + 1 Wilderness Survival: 10 + 1 + 1 [skill]Practiced Stance[/skill][skill]Choking Gas[/skill][skill]Frenzy[/skill][skill]Whirling Defense[/skill][skill]Troll Unguent[/skill][skill]Distracting Shot[/skill][skill]Savage Shot[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill] |

Well... if you manage to get enemy HP under 50%, I found that
[skill]Needling Shot[/skill] May be sometimes better than IAS stances. And even faster, 1 hit per second. Of ourse, it hurts bad your energy... but I can interrupt most 1s casting time skills with a correct timming. And more important. It eats the refire rate. So only the flight time counts. So you can make a 1 hit per second with a recurve bow or a hornbow. |

Yeah, Hp doesn't matter when I need to interrupt, because HM enemy monks that only cast-spam heal other and heal area are crazy hard to kill, plus they can full heal themselves even when around 20% hp...
I'm probably better off going w/ IAS stances |
