Disappearing Items?
Hey,
I have only been playing guild wars for about a week now and have a monk/warrior character and have started to do a bit of farming. I'm currently farming the trolls in the ice caves outside of draknors forge, when ive killed a big group of them as i move my mouse cursor around where they lay, certain items appear for a split second then disappear so i cant pick them up? Why does this happen, is it a bug in the game? thx, |

do you have heroes/henchmen in your party? If so, those are the drops assigned to them.
If you are solo....i have no clue |

Have you tried targeting them with the semicolon key? I've never heard of items disappearing.

I once had a gold item from a drop out of a treasure chest in NF and I couldn't see it - I started to walk away and the other poeple in the party told me to pick up my drop. I had to use the Alt key to see it in order to pick it up.
The Alt key highlights 'friendly' objects in your immediate area. |

occasionally items will "fall" under monsters bodies and hide them. try holding ALT.

Hold it,
Sounds to me like loot scaling. Happens since they introduced loot scaling. See it often and I am not to surprised that that happens. I think of it more like every monster has a drop item but the program "decides" whether or not you get it depending on party size and killing speed. Sometimes you see it "dropping" for a split second Not unusual... (Bit worried now that i never worried about it) |
