Most needed Profession/Class? - Guild Wars Forums

I am coming back to GW and was wondering what the most needed class/profession is.

I like healing/support roles. Monks were needed badly before I left. However, I have noticed there are some new professions/classes that were added.

Which one would be the best for getting into groups?

Also, is the Monk still the best healing? (I quit WoW because my pure healing class was being out healed by a hybrid.)

Monks are always needed. A ritualist can heal a lot also, but the protection abilities of a monk make them better than the rit.

monks are by far the best straight healers, and always needed in standard groups.

Monks have been and always will be in demand, but I would at least try out a healing Ritualist. They can be pretty potent healers too. With Factions and NF, monks have become good protectors, and I love playing a prot monk over a healing monk any day.
