Regarding GW1 achivements for GW2 - Guild Wars Forums

There isn't much information on GW2 regarding the hall of monuments and how the achievements will be carried over, but what do people think will happen? My question is, say I have a ranger names "X X" and he has achieved lots of titles and registered them in the hall of monuments. Now does that mean that in order for these achievements to be recognized, I have to make a ranger in GW2 names "X X"? Or is it going to be simply making a ranger in GW2, and all the ranger achievements from GW1 will be carried over.

Well Your GW1 name will for sure be reserved for GW2, but other than most is just speculation... Then after awhile that crazy Q&A mod comes and quotes Gaile then like totally pwns your thread.. It's really quite depressing..

As far as I know, Anet hasn't said anything about this, so why worry now?

Well, like others said we can't be sure of anything beside the "name feature" really...

But I have my thoughts about your professin question:
I don't think we HAVE too pick the same profession again... a bit like if your father is a lawyer it doesn't mean that you will become a lawyer but if you choose to do so you might get a bit of extra help from the start.

A ranger will sure have more use of his ancestors bows in the HoM then a warrior.

The animal companion? well lets hope they make Iway 2.0 so we can use the pets on our warrios again

The armor? well a wammo in his grandmothers obsidian skirt sure gets a lot of attention...
