Factions to Nightfall - Guild Wars Forums

Hi, I'm sorry if this has been asked before but for some reason I'm not allowed to search the forums. I was wondering if it's possible to start a character in Factions and some how move that character to Nightfalls starting city? Reason I ask is because I rather enjoy the character models in Factions but I also like the starting city in Nightfalls. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, you can transfer one character from one campaign to another, as long as the games are linked together. To go from Kaineng Center to Kamdan you have to take a quest called Sunspears in Cantha, but I recommend you goto Lion's Arch (Town in Prophecies) and take Sunspears in Kryta instead. They are linked, but I guess I forgot to mention I only started this game 4 days ago and I don't have GW1. So I can assume moving from one city to another is not a feasible task as a noob?

It is a feasible task for a noob.

In truth, I've found that crossing from Factions to Nightfall is a lot easier than crossing from Prophecies to Nightfall - you have a larger party size and higher level henchmen available for the Factions/Nightfall crossing. This can make it a little easier to take down the enemies you'll have to face. Just watch out for the Torment Claws - those can do one hell of a lot of damage to you if you're in melee range of them.

Yes, a Factions character will have access to quests and heroes once you transder to Nightfall. You'll be given the first few basic heroes (Koss, Melonni, Dunkoro and Tahlkora) almost immediately after you land in Kamadan; and you can also immediately take the quest that lets you choose between Acolyte Jin or Acolyte Sousuke.

You will have a short primary quest sequence that will take you to the Consulate Docks mission (mission 4). After you've completed this quest, you will be able to do the other missions in Istan, although this will be all you can do in Istan (it's the newbie area, after all). Quests from Kourna onwards will be available to you as normal.
